dear family and friends of pneuma-winds of hope,
merry christmas!! i pray this finds you and your loved ones enjoying the season of celebration of our Savior’s birth!! the end of the year is time we reflect, give thanks and express our gratitude for all of you who have encouraged, supported, uplifted, stood beside and prayed us through another incredible year of ministry! so please grab a cup of your favorite drink and settle in as we celebrate together the work of the Lord through this ministry!
this year was full with the ripples of Christ’s transforming love in hearts and lives from pittsburgh to california, with a big splash in mississippi J
january began with a big surprise; as i was given a scholarship and began the christian life coaching class through tony husted and erickson college. during the year God filled my ministry toolbox with creative effective ways to help people move towards the plan and purpose god has for their lives, since june of this year over 90 hours of free coaching have been given to those desiring to fulfill god’s plan and purpose for their lives.
in march, your generous giving and support rescued a family from foreclosure. today the homeowner continues to care for her grandchildren and family in their family home of 26 years!!
ray of hope in may was able to bring a woman from romania with ovarian cancer to the usa for respite and time with her family.
in may, we responded to smithville, mississippi the place where an e5 tornado decimated the community in 12 seconds. a community effort with habitat, local businesses and those of you from around the country helped us fill a box truck with supplies and take a big load of love and encouragement to those facing the loss and rebuilding of their families and communities. additionally, bonnie began a journey to pray across america in may..a new and exciting journey stay tuned for more details!
summer in california was spent in spiritual boot camp as we listened each day for God’s direction, fine tuning our hearing and obedience! we devoted our time to serving those most vulnerable through the compassionate touch of Jesus love and all who attended learned the word to be!
august brought the blessing of God providing a permanent home in bay saint louis! the ministry here continues daily as we continue to recover from the long term effects of repeated traumatic events on the gulf coast. although katrina is now 6 years past the disastrous bp oil spill continues to beat the economy and psyche of residents on the gulf coast! however, God has given the people that live here the “we may be weebles but we don’t fall down” attitude! the work here is not finished and God continues to open doors and opportunities to work with him here in the bay.
this fall we responded to the floods in pennsylvania by supplying gift cards for rebuilding after hurricane lee. additionally, each day wherever our feet trod, we sought to be the love of christ through intentional acts of compassion, prayer, and provision to those in the world around us.
wow look what we have done together!! i know in these economic times the needs are great and you have many places you can share God’s blessing and i want to personally express my deepest gratitude for your support of pneuma –winds of hope. we could not fulfill our mission of sharing the love of jesus through prayer, proclamation, and provision if we did not have you as our partners in hope!! thank you!!
as we look forward to the new year we are planning the stirrings event in bay saint louis from july 7-14th, continue to offer life coaching to those desiring change in their lives, intentional acts of compassion and kindness and living out the love of God through this ministry.
